FVRD is excited to announce the upcoming replacement of playground equipment at Shannon Community Park. We are building a new playground in this much-loved space to enhance the vibrancy and inclusivity of this park. Shannon Park is important to the neighbourhood and enjoyed by community members of West Popkum in Electoral Area D. We are looking for community members input to ensure the new playground design reflects the community’s needs.
We are excited to share two playground concepts, Slide Mountain and The Lookout, for the upcoming park. Both are designed to reflect the scope and scale of what is being considered for this new community space. These designs provide a vision of the potential layout, features, and play opportunities that will be available. We welcome your feedback on what concept you prefer, as we continue to refine the plans and work towards a final design that best serves the neighbourhood.
