What is the Complete Communities Assessment?
It's a study to help make our Fraser Canyon communities better places to live, work, and play. We're looking at things like housing, jobs, and services to see how we can improve life for everyone here.
Why are we doing this?
We want to make sure our communities strive to meet the daily needs of residents. This study will help us plan for the future and make smart decisions about how our communities may change.
Who's running this study?
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is working with experts at DIALOG.
How is this being paid for?
Good news! We got a Complete Communities grant from the provincial government through the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM), so it's not costing our local taxpayers anything extra.
What areas are included?
The study covers parts of Electoral Areas A and B in the Fraser Canyon.
What will the study look at?
We're focusing on four main areas:
How can I get involved?
We'll be asking for your input soon! Keep an eye out for the survey.
How long will it take?
This project started in late 2024 and is expected to wrap up sometime in 2025.
What will happen after the study is done?
The results will help us update our Official Community Plans (OCPs) for Electoral Areas A and B (Fraser Canyon). This means we'll have a roadmap for making our communities even better in the coming years.
