  • The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) manages dog licences for Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Harrison Hot Springs, Kent, and Mission?
  • All dogs four months or older must have a current licence.
  • The two primary sources of municipal funding for animal control come from property taxes and dog licence fees.
  • Fees help with adoption and volunteer programs for stray and found lost dogs, veterinarian fees, investigations and patrols.
  • A dog wearing a current licence receives one free ride home per calendar year if the owner can be reached within a timely manner.

There are options available to make purchasing and renewing a licence as easy as possible.
